David Baker

David Baker is a poet, critic, and educator, whose recent poetry collections include Whale Fall (2022), Swift: New and Selected Poems (2019), and the forthcoming Transit, all published by W. W. Norton. His six prose volumes include Show Me Your Environment: On Poetry, Poets, and Poems (University of Michigan Press, 2014) and Radiant Lyre: Essays on Lyric Poetry (Graywolf, 2007). A co-edited book, Collected Poems of Stanley Plumly, was published by Norton in 2025.
