Jalondra A. Davis

Jalondra A. Davis is a Black feminist creative-intellectual who works as an assistant professor of English at the University of California, Riverside. She has published on speculative fiction and culture in Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts, Science Fiction Studies, Shima Journal, Museum of Science Fiction Journal of Science Fiction, and Routledge Handbook of CoFuturisms. Her monograph-in-progress, Merfolk and Black Being in Water, analyzes how Black mermaid lore interrogates Western modernity, humanism, and the Anthropocene.
