Zordun Sabir

Zordun Sabir (1937–1998) was an Uyghur author best known for his historical Anayurt trilogy. Born in Ghulja in what is today northwest China, Sabir faced persecution during the Cultural Revolution and used his writing to preserve the Turkic traditions of Uyghur culture.
