Andrew Schenker is an essayist and critic who lives in Catskill, New York. His writing has appeared in The Baffler, Artforum, Bookforum, Esquire, Los Angeles Review of Books, and many other publications. He is working on a book about novels inspired by the life and work of Herman Melville.
