Jackson Holbert was born and raised in eastern Washington. His first book, Winter Stranger (2023), won the Max Ritvo Prize and is out from Milkweed Editions. His work has appeared in The Iowa Review, The Nation, and Poetry. He is currently a Jones Lecturer at Stanford and lives in Oakland, California.
