Alyse Carlson is a practicing pediatrician and a student in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. Her work has appeared in Chicago Quarterly Review and Consequence and is forthcoming in Beloit Poetry Journal. She is a finalist for The Florida Review 2026 Editor’s Prize in Poetry. She lives with her family in Portland, Oregon.
