Sònia Hernández was born in Barcelona and holds a PhD in Spanish literature. She has published four poetry collections, three story collections, and four novels. An English translation of El lugar de la espera (2019), her penultimate novel, was published by Scribe as Prosopagnosia in 2021. In 2010 she was featured in Granta’s “Best Young Spanish Language Novelists” issue.
