Nancy Naomi Carlson has published six books of translations, two of which were finalists for the Best Translated Book Award and the Firecracker Awards for Poetry from the Community of Literary Magazines and Presses. In 2018 she was decorated as Chevalier of the Order of the Academic Palms by the French government. Her work has previously appeared in The Georgia Review as well as in AGNI, the American Poetry Review, Boulevard, Poetry, Prairie Schooner, and the Southern Review. Carlson is a senior translation editor for Tupelo Quarterly and teaches at the Bethesda Writer’s Center. Her second full-length collection of poetry, An Infusion of Violets, is forthcoming from Seagull Books this year.
