Kathy Chao is a writer, data scientist, and New York transplant originally from Southern California. Her fiction has been published in or is forthcoming from the Gettysburg Review, Gulf Coast, and Strange Horizons. She was also awarded second prize in the 2023 Zoetrope: All-Story Short Fiction Competition.
