Davis McCombs is the author of three books of poetry: lore (University of Utah Press, 2016), Dismal Rock (Tupelo Press, 2007), and Ultima Thule (Yale University Press, 2000). He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, American Poetry Review, The Missouri Review, The Southern Review, The Kenyon Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and Oxford American, among many other publications.
